Privacy at a glance
NAM A2 Recorder is a local Android audio application. It does not require a Maya Apps account and does not send your recordings, live audio, NAM profiles, cabinet impulse responses, rig profiles, MIDI data or device files to Maya Apps. The app contains no advertising, analytics or remote crash-reporting SDK and does not use an internet permission.
Audio and microphone access
The app uses Android audio access to receive and process audio from the input selected by you, including a connected USB audio interface where supported. Audio is processed on the device. Recording starts only when you activate the recording function. The temporary recording is written to private app storage, then Android asks you for a name and destination after recording stops. If you cancel that save step, the pending recording remains in private app storage until you save or discard it. Maya Apps cannot access or retrieve this audio.
Files and folders
You may use Android's system file picker to select NAM models, cabinet IR files and supported preset backups, and to choose destinations for recordings or exported preset backups. Selected NAM and IR files are copied into private app storage so the app can use them locally. The app accesses only files or locations you select or create through Android. Imported and exported content remains on your device or in the storage provider you selected; the app does not upload it to Maya Apps.
USB, MIDI and Bluetooth
The app may read technical information made available by Android about connected USB audio, USB MIDI or Bluetooth MIDI devices, such as device name, connection state and MIDI messages, solely to provide audio routing and control functions. On supported Android versions, Bluetooth scan/connect permission may be requested to find and connect a MIDI controller. This information is processed locally and is not sent to Maya Apps.
Location permission on older Android versions
Older Android versions may require a location permission for Bluetooth device discovery. NAM A2 Recorder does not request, determine, store or transmit your geographic location. Where Android permits separate nearby-device permissions, the app uses those instead.
Storage period and deletion
Recordings and files you create or export remain until you delete them using the app, Android or the selected storage provider. App-private settings, presets, imported NAM/IR copies and pending recordings remain on the device until you delete or replace them through the app, clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Android backup is disabled for the app. Files exported outside private app storage are not removed automatically when the app is uninstalled.
Google Play
If you obtain or update the app through Google Play, Google independently processes information required to provide the store, purchase, licensing, security and update services under Google's own privacy terms. NAM A2 Recorder does not receive your payment-card data.
Support messages
If you contact support@mayaapps.de, we process the information you provide to answer and document your request. Please do not send private recordings, licensed NAM/IR files, passwords or sensitive personal information unless this is necessary and you have the right to share it. Support correspondence is deleted when it is no longer required, unless legal retention duties apply.
Sharing, sale and international transfers
The app does not sell personal data and does not share app data with Maya Apps, advertisers, analytics providers or data brokers. Because app content stays on the device, Maya Apps does not perform an international transfer of that content. Data handled independently by Google Play or by a storage provider selected by you is governed by that provider's terms.
Children
The app is a professional audio tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your choices and rights
You control Android permissions in the system settings and can revoke optional permissions at any time; the related feature may then stop working. Local app data can be deleted as described above. Because Maya Apps does not receive local audio, files or device data, we cannot view or delete that data remotely. For personal data contained in a support request, applicable data-protection law may give you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. Contact us at support@mayaapps.de.
Security and changes
Keeping processing local reduces network exposure, but no device or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your Android device and storage accounts with appropriate access controls and backups. We will update this policy if the app's data practices change and will publish the new effective date here.
